Preparing your Ecommerce platform

Guide to setting up your Ecommerce platform, so it can best work with Jetti.

Last updated December 4th, 2017

Before you starting configuring Jetti for your business, we recommend completing a few steps within your store to get the most our of your trial. This should only take a few minutes. Getting things right up front mean you’ll start benefiting from Jetti’s automation soon!

1. Setting the vendor name for products

As sales are imported in real time into your store, Jetti needs to know how the order should be split up to send to your warehouses or dropship vendors. The easiest way to handle this is to make use of the vendor fields in your store. We recommend setting the vendor name for each product before connecting to Jetti.

Important: You don't need to set the vendor field in Shopify to the same as your dropship vendor name. For example, you could set your vendor name in Shopify to Nike and Adidas, then have both of these mapped to the dropship provider Sports Inc.

There are more advanced setups Jetti can handle. For example:

  • Routing to different 3PLs or dropship providers depending on Shipping country.
  • Using tags to automatically split and route your sales.
    • more.

2. Set weights for your items

If you want to generate shipping labels, we recommend settings weights for each of your items in Shopify. This will mean you and your vendors will be able to generate shipping labels with just one click.

That’s it!

Once you’ve complete the above steps you’ve ready to start configuring your trial.
